I didn't notice how much unalloyed cynicism there is at Harvard until watching a show choir, sequins and smiles flashing, belt out a Disney medley in Holden Chapel. And, or at least look like, they meant all the wonderful days. It was a group from Penn that Glee Club Lite had invited, or welcomed. And while the Billy Joel number was rather ironic(Brenda and Eddie, waterbed, paintings and all, do get divorced in the next verse, and everyone knows too much Pressure leads to downing beers in Zanzibar with Captain Jack), I was in awe of their energy and rah-rah school spirit.
