Straight from the Washington Post, on Haiti: "A State Department spokesman last night condemned the attack on Cap-Haitien, saying the Bush administration considers change through violence unacceptable. "

The thing I hate about Harvard is, you have to win before you even get started.

Oh, the Irony.
I was in the Winthrop Computer Lab when some guy walked in, saw I was on Harvard's new facebook website (very a la Friendster), and we traded a few comments on how it's eaten all our time. Its so useful, he said- you can finally put a face to a name.
And yet, face to face, we didn't even exchange names.

No, Mr. Registrar, I'm NOT taking French Bab.
Is anyone reading this? Did anyone read this? so is it safe for me to say, the perhaps bridget jonesian of my life has begun, and have only the right eyes see it?
The last time Valentine's day was on a Saturday, I had my first kiss. I'm the only one who remembers this now, for an excellent reason, if an oh my goodness we're OLD reason.
Music: Juanes's Nada (Ya no me importa tu destino), Fiona Apple's Shadowboxer, sandwiching Sly and the Family Stone to buck up
Argentine rock music and the military dictatorship? thesis, eh, eh?
and finally, WHRB 95.3 FM, 9 to 11 Tuesday mornings. listen! listen! www.whrb.org
and finally, apologies for turning this into a diary....
South Africa, coming up

I'm all moved in, though very unpacked, and rather disheveled. Two things are very clear-
I have no idea what classes to shop, and I didn't bring enough stuff for the walls (along with a third- this is the widest room I've had so far; I can finally turn the bed sideways)
There are more photos up. Its raining out. I think I'm ready, if only because I'm so disoriented right now, normal beginning of semester fears haven't kicked in yet (like, what am I doing with this degree, and why are all my electives language classes)
